same here purchased it on dec.2 from tigerdirect through paypal using credit card. filed pricematch form to match microcenter price. hopefully this works.

still nothing from paypal yet.

Great find, wow. I logged in to Discover to see for myself and they do indeed price match now. It says 90 days from purchase date so that's fantastic. I was waiting for more reviews to come in on people's experiences matching Microcenter's processors prices, but now I can just use Discover's PM. I was going to use Discover through Paypal anyway purchasing through TigerDirect to try to get 10% off the total so this is a great alternative without having to deal with Paypal shenanigans.

I got denied and decided to call up PP. I bought at a discount from Tiger Direct on Cyber Monday which is what disqualified me. My mind is truly boggled. It makes not a lick of sense why a company wouldn't price match the smaller amount(20$) but would have no questions price matching the MSRP price of the processor(70+$).

That aside, the TD deal was AMAZING and I'd rather have that then potentially being denied on this for whatever reason they make up.

I PM'd MC since they 3770k was still the low price on the Tuesday after CyberMonday and got my PM approval three days later.

I went to the Best Buy in Hawaii and showed them the price on Microcenter and she PM'ed right there. I was surprised since MC is in-store only and there are none in Hawaii, so they are not a direct competition. It came out to $240 including tax (no shipping for in-store pickup).

Got ok'd by pp within 5 business days though newegg lost my shipment and will be canceling the order so have to redo this again. Hope it works the 2nd time around too.

Just an update:

I still haven't gotten my money back from this, but I talked to them on the phone. Apparently I was approved in 3 days, but nothing happened with it after that, so they're supposed to get me my refund within 2 business days.

So potentially looks like I'll get the money at this point.

I noticed tonight my price match on the i5 3570k was approved but was in my spam folder. I ended up getting them to price match Microcenters $170 price on the 3570k.

To the poster above, I just took a screenshot of the Microcenter website where it said the price of the item. I definitely was surprised they actually price matched.
