I have the 3450 and it's an amazing GPS. It's the thickness of an iPhone with a glass screen. Got it at Best Buy for $25. Only problem with it, and this one is the lack of map updates. After a year or so, you need to pay $100 (or somehow hack into it).

Just bought it. Hope it comes with the latest maps. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Looked up all the reviews on this GPS and found that people who like the look and got a "good" one felt it was great. Unfortunately, manhy of the reviews also showed a lack of Quality Control with these particular units and they frequently go haywire. I think Dailysteals are selling all of those "bad" GPS since Dailysteals has a very strict return policy. Be forewarned.

Looking at DailyDeals description, this one is Garmin Refurbished. So, I'm thinking IF these were the crappy ones, Garmin probably already fixed whatever were wrong with them. Also, these have 1 year warranty, vs. 90 days from other Refurbished Garmins.

Two months ago I bought the Garmin Nuvi 1390LMT 4.3" Portable GPS, Refurbished from Walmart for $79.98 shipped free (orders over $45). Average new price is $140+.. In addition to Lifetime maps, the street names are read rather than just directions. (Turn right on Maple Street in ...) I read through the ratings for this unit on Walmart and Amazon's sites. I chose the 4.3 rather than the 5" screen because I didn't want the larger screen to obstruct my view. The 4.3" screen is just right.

It arrived in New packaging and I can't tell that it isn't new. I travel regularly for business and this works great. Am very happy with my purchase and am buying another for a Christmas gift. Buying through urlhasbeenblocked and getting an additional 4% back.

These 4.3" screens are too small. I can hardly read the text on the screen, and while driving, I shouldn't have to focus on that. I heard TomTom has some 6" screens, and Magellan has a 7" screen in their lineup (though I don't like Magellan software that much). I would love to see a deal on a big TomTom or Garmin, though before Christmas.

I chose the 4" because the 5" or 6" is too big on the dash for me. I found the 4" screen very visible and readable without obstructing my view. Have not regretted going with the mid size screen.

Has anyone who ordered this deal have it shipped yet? Mine has not shipped and order status is OPEN.
