Unless they changed the rules recently, that wasn't true as of last year. I got my old X-finity replaced twice and it had lifetime warranty every time. They replaced it with an Andyson-built Ultra X4 last year. They even sent a prepaid return label. Janice, the super-nice CSR, told me the warranty is based on the ORIGINAL X-finity I purchased, so it will always be lifetime.

Also, the Andyson stuff they're using now is a lot better than the Wintech crap they used to use.
