I wish I had millions of dollars to blow on Star Wars legos.

Amazon has better prices on R2-D2 ($139), but they don't beat the price on the Imperial Shuttle, Death Star or the Star Destroyer. In for a couple and repped!

Fyi, if you are doing something weird like buying the star destroyer and shuttle, amazon has them at 530 also, in case you prefer Amazon for shipping or tax reasons. (310 +210)

I bought my son the shuttle at full price @ lego store and he assembled it in 3 hours and that's it just sat there ..felt like it was a waste of money...i would of been pissed if i had purchased the more expensive ones

Death Star is a good one to get now! This is a good deal of TRU..Finally.

All these discounting (on these 2010 sets)...seems like Lego is trying to clear them and get them to retire very soon.

Pretty sure the lego Death Star has been around since 2008.

The shuttle isn't really toy-like...more of the collectors series display models. The Death Star however is meant to play with. All those different sections make it almost irresistible to act out of the favorite scenes from the movies. And Lego Darth Vader already has his hand set to Force-choke Admiral Motti.

Wow, what a deal! I got the Star Destroyer and Death Star, but they deducted another % off for spending more than $125. So, my total with tax and free shipping came to $518 for both sets. I was expecting to pay around $662. Go SlickDeals!

It's in the op that amzn has the star destroyer for $80 less than tru, so this is just another b.s. 'sale' by tru where even after the promo, they're still too pricey. Unless somebody out there was already inclined to buy 2 lego sets priced in excess of $300 each, this is no deal. TRU is headed for oblivion, it's just a matter of time. I will be buying absolutely not one damned thing from them this year, for no other reason than their prices stink.

legos like this aren't for playing... they're for assembling and displaying.
i have an entire shelving until filled with legos, and several of the kickass ferrari legos i've found up on the walls around the den/computer room. like this one [amazon.com] and this one. [amazon.com] (no i didn't pay anywhere near that when i bought them)


really thinking about the death star and star destroyer though...
