I missed the Vizio 70 @ $1499.
Have you heard anything about them renewing this sale?

I have this TV, bought it about a year ago and love it. Was a little concerned that the 120hz refresh rate would cause pixelation, especially in scenes with fire or explosions, but nope haven't noticed a thing. The Pandora and Netflix functions are also especially nice. Great TV can't recommend it enough. Also being a Sharp Aquos it has the additional yellow color pixel that other TVs don't have...don't think it makes a big difference, but hey.

CTR not to correct you but the 632 series does not have the quattron its actually a benefit in my opinion. A professional ISF calibration does WONDERS for these tvs.

I called a private group about color calibration for my new Vizio 70" and they told me it was unnecessary and that Best Buy/Geek Squad is being very dishonest in how they sell/push that service for $250.
She (the owner of the calibration business) told me the Vizios come out of the box ready to roll, just adjust the smooth/cinema motion and make sure the color temps are half way on all colors and you're set to go.

geek squad calibration is just that bogus. But an officially trained ISF technician that has the right equipment and experience can turn a tv into an amazing experience. visit avs for more proof.

that BS about the vizio

From what I've read, the full-matrix backlight on these was not that great. There are many complaints of a visible diamond pattern on bright screens. It could very well be the reason Sharp changed to edge lit on the 640U.

For those that think the Vizio is better, why do you think so? Just compared to the 632U, or also the 640U?
CNet review thought the 60" version of the Vizio didn't have as good of picture compared to the 60" Sharp 640U.

I don't know if the 60" and 70" is comparable, but a lot of reviews usually apply 60" ratings to the 70" as well.

Up to you, I couldn't buy it if I wanted to because it's OOS for my zipcode. I'd probably rather look for a deal on the 640U.
