Nexus 7 - Mobile Data or WiFi only?

Nexus 7 will consume a nice little chunk of your data cap so use it sparingly if you do. Best method is to use it one day as much as you would any other day (not just a little) and see how much of the data cap is consumed. Then multiply that by however many times you estimate you'll be using it while traveling. Then take into account how much the rest of your family may use the data plan as well and you can get an idea if it would be a good idea to use it for mobile data or WiFi only.

If you have an Android smartphone, use Foxfi free hotspotting. This will give you 4g speeds if your smartphone supports it instead of the 3g speeds that the Nexus comes with. You also will not have to pay extra for the new device.
