I really hope your Timex was automatic... As I pointed out to ssuther2, watch winders do nothing for quartz watches.

i'm 99.9% sure that was sarcasm he was using. i.e. timex is a lousy watch. well not a lousy watch but not one u would typically get a watch winder for.

I wouldn't recommend this one. I had one, and it died within 6 months.

Watch winders are for a class of watches called "automatic watches", which stores the kinetic energy generated by your movements to power the watch (as opposed to regular quartz watches that rely on small batteries). Otherwise, automatic watches will "die" once it runs out of power, but it'll run again if you just shake or wear the watch.

These watch winders keep automatic watches alive by faking that kinetic motion so that the watches keep their time/dates.

Alright so I understand it's not necessary for my old Timex... but will it increase the accuracy of my sundial? Please advise.
