this place is overpriced for the quality of food as far as I'm concerened, however $5/person for 2 orders of "choose 3" aint bad after coupon..

Thanks. Do you know when this code expires? I'm on their email list, and I haven't received this offer yet.
BTW, if you need more than $20 in food, I've placed 2 separate orders: 1 for myself, 1 for my wife. Sometimes the store clerk gives you a funny look, but they've always given me the food! Kind of a win-win, because I wouldn't order takeout from them without the discount. |

As to those who question the quality of the food, there are obviously pluses and minues to every chain restaurant. We did the $10 off $20 deal last month, and my family thought it was about the best takeout we had done recently. Even at half off, it's not exactly cheap, but I think you get value for what you pay. BTW, Macaroni Grill seems to also particpate in those airline dining programs, where you get a few frequent flyer miles for your restaurant purchases, so you can join that too a save a few more bucks. |

Here is why the quality of the food has gone downhill:
Brinker International, Inc. bought the franchise rights to the company on November 22, 1989. Brinker announced on August 8, 2007 that it would begin exploring a buyer for the 230 company-owned stores. On December 18, 2008, Brinker announced that a majority stake in the chain was sold to Mac Acquisition LLC, an affiliate of Golden Gate Capital. One major change was they no longer made their sauces in house. This was to ensure consistency at all restaurants. In addition, they changed their menu from pure Italian to a Mediterranean blend. |
