That's what EVERYONE says but bottom line is, if you are paying the same price why would you want a refurbished one over a new one? The definition of refurbished is something that had a problem with it and has been fixed. It has also been used by someone else's hands. Call me crazy but I will take the never before used and never before broken iPad EVERY single time.

I bought a new ipad 2 for my dad during the BF sales. After seeing this, I'm gonna wait and see if i can get a black refurb ipad3 when it becomes available again.

If i do get a refurb, is it likely to come with scuff marks and minor scratches?

Best deal of the season was early on Thanksgiving morning when Best Buy had a surprise sale and offered brand NEW iPad2's (16GB+WIFI) for $339.99. That's $60 off of retail with free shipping. Came to right around $360 with tax and they arrived within 3 days. My wife and I both bought one and were happy to be able to purchase new as opposed to refurbished. I haven't seen anything near as good as that deal and that's counting actual Black Friday and Cyber Monday. If I didn't get one at this point I'd continue waiting. The closer to Christmas we get the better the sales will be.
