32GB iPad Wifi + LTE - 3rd Gen w/ Retina Display - Recertified $449

Daily Steals [dailysteals.com] (I know, I know) has the 32GB WiFi + (Verizon) LTE, retina display iPad in black or white, for $449 + FS. Says it's factory re-certified and comes with a 90 day warranty.

A refurb of this model from Apple is $599, a savings of $150.

Told to cancel and said they couldn't so now I gotta go through the dispute process with paypal

They are based out of Brooklyn and some of their shipment packages and products have been questionable. I have not always received the best customer service from them. Anybody else bite on this in the past week (Was surprised nobody posted it to slickdeals)

They are getting these iPads off people probably from ebay. The iPad 2 16GB I got from them in the past had minor scratches and the charger was not a real Apple charger. It was some knockoff charger that died after a few months. The Professional Online Deal Analyst.

Well, for those who might have ordered and are still waiting on their Ipad, I received mine today. It was not in an original box but (as promised) had an original Apple charger and cable included. I called Apple and was able to purchase AppleCare plus as a warranty. Be careful with Squaretrade -- I called and they said they no longer warrant refurb items.

Apple told me the original purchase was made in March -- so to Apple this was effectively a used Ipad purchase with ~100 days left on the warranty. The Ipad is scratch free and looks as good as new. The screen had a shrink wrapping over it and there were no scratches. Based on the comments I guess I was lucky but good luck to everyone else who ordered.
