Code also works for the EVO. Can anybody chime in whether the EVO is worth the extra $10?
The only reason I was going to buy an EVO is because supposedly Ivybridge units run a little hotter than Sandybridge units. The increased contact area on the EVO would supposedly be able to cool slightly better than just the 212+. I am personally hoping I can get an EVO for $15 in the future, but it's around $22 after tax/ rebate with this code which is better than past deals for $25 so surely some will buy it.
- Many have reported that the internal thermal paste used within the Ivybridge cpus is a cheap brand, and if replaced the heat levels are more tolerable and may be more efficient than comparable Sandybridge units (say i5 3570k vs i5 2500k.) There are a few videos of people online doing this and other threads on the internet where people compare before and after scenarios
