i wear an icon alliance right now... is this a worthy upgrade?

I love the new kawi bikes--I DONT want to keep looking at one, or Ill end up buying one!!

I did pick up a motard last year--Suzuki SM400--its a blast when we meet up in NC at the dragon.

Honda RC51 here. Maybe looking for a Suzuki SV1000 (naked version) as an additional bike or a 848 as a replacement. Once you go Vtwin you don't go back, especially if its a big twin.

No offence but Icon is kind of on the lower end. I wear Rev'It leather jacket for the street, Joe Rocket textile for incliment weather, and Arlen Ness 2 piece suit for more serious street and track riding.

Suzuki Sv650

Somebody's selling an HJC carbon helmet for more than 50% off locally.
He says its brand new and i think he's not lying from what i see in the pics. Do you guys think he probably dropped it? But what could go wrong since the shell is carbon??

Just passed the MSF and got my license, so this will be my first helmet

You would have to closely inspect it to see if there are any marks from being dropped. I have a Joe Rocket Carbon Fiber (made by HJC a few years back for JR) and absolutely love it. It is by far the lightest helmet I own.

i'll upgrade

great price on an awesome helmet. I have the exact same one. I use it for racing. I have an x12 bostrom for road riding. I high-sided earlier this summer with a rf1000 on my dome, hit my head and got no brain damage. Bought a rf1100 to replace it, couldn't be happier. Just to add to the thread, I race my 08 R1, road bike is a '10 s1000rr.

This is great I ride a 04 Ninja Zx6r, Was using a scorpion exo 700, but this is definitely better . Too bad my bike is winterized and sitting in my living room .

I ride a '98 FZR600. Had the RF-1000, now have the RF-1100. Have a scorpion exo-700 for passengers but I don't use it enough to justify upgrading that to the RF-1100. Great helmet though. Paid around $350 for it about a year ago maybe. Highly recommend upgrading to a Shoei or Arai (different head shapes) if you have a cheaper helmet or looking to get a new one. Sure they're expensive but you can't put a price on safety. You should always go for the best you can afford
