Bookcase sets on sale at walmart + Free Store pickup

Has anyone put one of the Walmart Ameriwood bookcases together yet?

I think I bought one of these from Big Lots a while ago, it was the 5 shelf and I paid $25. I'm pretty good at putting stuff together but it was unnecessarily complicated, there's a lot of screws and nails needed and it's a two person job to get the side pieces to line up (even then I couldn't get it flush). It's just badly designed.

By comparison, the only other bookcase I have is a Billy bookcase from Ikea - 2 side panels, 2 top panels, everything's pre-drilled and it took around 4 screws total to put it together. Literally takes 5 minutes to take it apart or put it together.. something you should consider if you ever need to move the bookcase.

yes I did, yesterday night . very sturdy , very happy with the result. I bough this in walmart store, 27 dollar . its 11 inch deep !! better then the one that advertise only 9.31 inch deep.

I dont know the brand ( I can get you brand tonight when I get home ) its in white box, should say something like 5 shelf 70 something inch tall, cost $27.

Not the best pic but I had leftover stuff from another project. Put a melamine board on top, Moulding on the top and bottom and beadboard on the back. Haven't painted it yet since I'm pregnant but I like the way it looks in our nursery. Sturdy too!

Going to the store tomorrow.. Looking for a nice small one for the new nursery... from what I've read, better price in store?.. if not, can always order from my phone for the online price while I'm in store..

I bought the Mainstay brand instore.. but the instructions inside said Ameriwood.... so its the same thing, just cheaper instore!
