His numbers might not be too different from today's plasmas. According to CNET, my PN51E550 with their calibrated settings burns 220W, which isn't that great.
I had a 46" model A650 lcd, CNET rates the 52" version at 141W calibrated, so my 46" was probably around there also since I didn't do any calibration. Not too much of an increase considering how much better the plasma is, I'll take it.
Thanks for this, the only settings I was able to find was on CNET for my TV (E550). The settings you listed are a bit different so I'll have to compare them.
they work great...all i have to occasionally do is adjust the brightness from 42-55 depending on the time of day
