Bought a TV from Dell with $600 worth of the total on my AMEX, the rest went on gift cards and other payment methods.

I got my $150 credit within a couple of days.

Funny thing is that they shipped each GC separately last month, but NOW they decide to ship them together in the same envelope... just in time...

it's funny as you paid with AMEX and you got CB from discover.

I pulled my triggers on 9 of my synced Amex accounts. Some of them are for TV and some of them are for GCs. E.g. got my Samsung 55" ES6003 for about $350 after eGC Promo, Dell 10% advantage promo and Upromise 5% cashback. Also got a Sony 60" LED TV and a Dell U2711 monitor. Others are just for Dell GCs.

Don't forget Dell Advantage 10% eGC offer even on GC. E.g. for my $600GC, I will get back $150 as stmt credit, $30 as Upromise cashbask and $60 as Dell eGC. So the net is around $360 for $600GC, about 40% discount.

Indeed, this holiday I got back like $1990 from AMEX from their Costco/Bestbuy/Dell/HSN/Small Business offers. I have 10 of AMEX accts. Now it's time to pay my bill.

anyone have any idea when Dell will put out more of those 10% discount coupons off electronics? Do they send out brochures on regular basis? I've got some leftover GC's... right now they have 3% off for Advantage, but that's all I can find. Wonder if it's worth waiting for the extra 7%...

finally able to use my gift cards... got $700 in gift cards for $450..ended up with refurbished dell xps 8500 desktop with i7 cpu, 8gb ram, 1gb video card/ 1 terabyte hard drive, and 2 dell 23 inch monitors for 180 each.. total $810-700 in giftcards =110+450 i spent on cards =560 for xps and 2 23 inch monitors...sweet deal..
