PS Vita & 2 Free Games $199 (No Data Plan Required)

So I'd have to buy two games and the console in store and it would be 199.99? am I getting this right? and I don't need to buy a contract?

I bought MLB and Wipeout. For me the total cost was $169 + tax for the system, 8gb and the 2 games.

No data plan is great but that 3G feature is useless. Is this for the black PS Vita or can you also get the white one?

You go to the store, the offer is a $100 off the $299 along with 2 Games, so on checkout you can choose the games

The price of the system drops to $99, but it requires you to pick 2 games to go along (2 x $49.99) or the deal doesn't work and the price goes back up to $199 if you purchase just the system

So the games appear to be free, since you just pay the $199, although if you choose $30 games, the difference gets taken off from the $199 so you pay $160

If you try to buy the system itself without the games, you will pay $199, so the games are free.

Were there games lower than $30, that could essentially bring the price down even further?

I checked the in store availability, but it says out of stock everywhere. Is that actually accurate? Does anyone have the item show up as in stock for them?

Sony repackaged all of the 3G+Wifi models to be sold at retail until their currently produced stock runs out. It's the One Year of PSPlus and Unit 13 download voucher bundle for the old $299.99 price.

Save your money; Vita isn't worth it. I just got one, and I see little reason to keep it. It's going to be returned within the 30 day window so I can finish Liberation first.

I kind of agree. I just bought my Assassins Creed Bundle on Black Friday for $169. The system is pretty solid but the memory cards are by FAR the worst thing about the system. They are outrageously expensive. 4GB will store you MAYBE two full games.

Yeah, and that is if you don't want to store anything else on the memory card. That's the biggest kick in the teeth to me about the system. Plus, the available game library right now is mostly crap; name a title for Vita worth a da** that isn't already on PS3.

I feel like I could've put this money towards a Nexus 7 and gotten more bingity bang bang for the buck. In order to justify porting this thing around with me (it is def not pocket sized unless you wear some kind of freakishly large cargo pants), it needs to be able to hold quite a bit, and it just doesn't. A modded out PSP with a 32GB card in it would be better than a Vita with 4GB card. The 32GB card is going to run you another $90.

Stay away, kids... save your money.
