Is this deal case worthy? It's hard to decide how many bottles to buy when you have not tried it. Apparently you cannot return liquor in the state of California unless it's defective (what the guy at Trader Joe's told me).
I stopped by Trader Joes yesterday and bought the 18 year old Scotch for $25. Thought it was just ok and only picked up 2 bottles. Fairly smooth but not much else to note. |

Cali shipments either arrive today or tomorrow. One Costco reported IN today, while another said that all of them have still not even arrived at the depot yet. So better to just go and see (opened 11 minutes ago anyway).

Try pick up a bottle or two from costco and decide for yourself. if you are into strong peated smokey taste, this isn't it. I prefer it neat. with rocks it's on the lighter side, especially the finish isn't as long. Overall, it's ultra smooth, lavishly challenging for the taste buds yet perfectly tamed and never burning.

Went to a Costco in Socal this morning and looks like they got a shipment of the 15 year for 49.99 each. Picked up one just cause I was there, the guy didn't know if they were going to get more shipments including the 20 year one.
