This years edition of Costco KS private label single malt is available in some stores in MA. Price $44.99 per 750ml bottle. It is aged 20 years and sherry cask finished. Seems like a great deal for the age for fellow SDers. If you've tried it, please share some tasting notes here.
  • Costco Item Number 650728
  • You usually don't need Costco membership if you are only buying liquor. At least where I am, no surcharge either, you pay the same as us members.
  • Due to state liquor regulations etc, some Costco liquor stores are operated by independent liquor/wine shops that may/can not carry Costco KS private label products
  • Call your stores ahead to verify availability if in doubt

Macallan was shown as the distillery in last year's version but the price was about twice as much. This year they might have gotten this from a different Speyside source.

Cheers.

While we are at it, I heard the ks private label vodka is a great value, triple(?) distilled in France, some say it tastes like Grey Goose, at 1/2 the price. You do have to get them in1.75 liter tall bottles. I stocked up a few at $30 each and today i found it reduced to $23.99

It does taste like Grey Goose and I heard Kirkland actually purchased the distillery.

I don't think Costco can sell liquor in Texas, I wish they could.
they have a separate outside store that has its own doors... they sell everything in there.. and often have the ladies giving out samples for whatever they are pushing that weekend...drool

FYI just be careful which Kirkland Vodka you buy. One is made in America and like $15 and the other is over seas at ~$24. Haven't tried the American one but the other one is mighty good.

Going out to grab a bottle of this stuff here in Madison, WI.(checked earlier but wanted to see other reviews before purchasing) Haven't ever had a bottle of good scotch so at this price it's worth a shot. Hell maybe 2, one to drink and another to save....for later Smilie

What states have this Scotch?
Not Oregon. We still have to buy it from state sanctioned liquor stores. Will have to check da 'Couve since WA recently changed the law.
