Was at the store today and they had stacks of these grinders so check your stores. Reviews seem fine on the hd site, amazon only has reviews on reconditioned models with 2 people not liking this. For $25 whatever i will use it to sharpen mower blades and edging shovels.

Same here.... didn't see a single one for $24.98, online inventory said 8. Price matched the $44.95 one... used the $5 off $25 with Paypal card... $22 with tax. Nice for the one with the light.
I had ordered on line for the second closest store (local store out of stock) - then got an auto e-mail that the order was cancelled as the stock count (2) was incorrect. I went back on line and ordered one from the store by work. Then checked voicemails and the 1st store had called and advised they were upgrading to the version with the light come in and pay on site. I intended to use the $5 Paypal but only used mobile paypal once and couldn't remember PIN. Anyways - will still pick up the 2nd one for a decent Christmas gift...

Thanks!

Picked one up couple days ago from local HD. Had the $24.95 sticker on it. Took it to self check out and used the latest $5 off using PayPal. Bolted it to 4 7&1/2" 2x4's that I glued together. Now I just take it off the shelf, clamp it in my Jawhorse Sheetmaster (which I absolutely love), plug it up and start grinding.

This is my first bench grinder so I have nothing to compare it too, but I like it so far. It's definitely seems to be worth what I paid for it.

It is a valid question, i searched for the price, found nothing here or amazon but home depot has basically the same bench grinder for $45 with the cheesiest looking light off the back. This is $20 cheaper than that model, seems like a decent price and the model says promo. Promo price?
The promo one apparently comes in a smaller box and doesn't have a light as I found out when I went to get it. I showed this tonstore associate, he said too bad.... I showed the home depot webpage to the manager and he said that the " integrated work light" meant that I could use my own lights to work with grinder! What an idiot! Not only that but it was coming up as 29 when scanned. I grabbed the 44$ one and bitched a little and got it for the scanned price on the promo one which was 29$ they argued with me for 20 minutes while admitting that the website was wrong... Anyway....

So you got the one with the light for $24? Is that what i am reading? Good price if so. But the one posted clearly has no light so where was the confusion?

So i have used grinder a bunch. Does the job, definitely bogs down if you put pressure on it but overall it does the job.
