179.00 TCL 39" TV from Diger Direct on BF
If this is in the Wrong section, please move.
I ended up getting lucky on Wed night - early THanksgiving morning and scored a 39" TCL from TIger for 179.99 with a $50.00 rebate. TV was delivered Friday. Box was in good shape.
Once I got it out of the box the thing looked used!! I plugged it in. No welcome screen. RIght to HDMI input. Plugged in my DVR and the entire left half of the screen was DARK. Also vertical lines lined the left 3 inches of the scree.
Called TG. No Returns since it was a BF deal. Have to deal with TCL on a warranty claim. I asked a few questions and she asked me more about the TV being in "used cond". I pretty much kissed her Ass for 20 min. At the end of our conversation she said that this was just "not good" and she agreed to exchange the TV! There was no stock on the unit so she gave me 7 or 8 other TV model numbers that she would give me. SHe even went as far as to tell me how many units had been sold and the return percentage on each unit!!!
It ended coming down to SPECS. I went with the Affinity 39" because most others had 8ms vs 5ms with the Affinity (Affinity is brand new and they have only sold 5 units)
She said the new one would ship once the old got there or I could put a CC# down and they would ship that day. I gave my CC# and the TV arrived today.
Love it. Nice pic and all works so far.
Got me thinking. If the Junk TV wasnt THAT bad I could have kept it and had 2 units for the BF price!!!!
