Hey guys - I tried these steps as listed on an ATT Note 2. I noticed the SHA256 has changed to 0 however when I used the foreign SIM (verizon SIM) the phone boots and detects the signal (but does not say Verizon network or anything). When I attempt to make a call it says "Emergency Calls" only.
Any comments on this ? I did try to re-do the unlocking steps by putting in the foreign SIM but nothing changed. |

Interesting...on my first Note 2 that was shipped with 4.1.1 and I upgraded to 4.1.2, I was able to run through the procedure in the OP.
On the second phone that shipped with 4.1.2 already, I don't have the same option after PERSO_SHA256_OFF. There is no NV Lock Init... after I hit back. |

Samsung S3 and note 2, I say choose one, both are better than the Iphone. hey the Android experience is far better. with the price listed here, I say it is a great bargain.

When I type in the *#numbers# i get a message that says no network available. I bought the phone from ATT and no longer have service with them. Do I have to have service in order for this unlock method to work?
