Would it invalidate the warranty?

Just got a two weeks old Note II

Good deal none the less....
Unlocking the boot loader allows you to load customized software that is not approved by the carrier. This means you can completely bork your phone if you screw it up. But just unlocking won't, unless its a nexus 4/10 Wink

In the us it means T-Mobile or ATT. Not Verizon...

Those who can confirm that their phone is unlocked, can they confirm this setting as well;

SHA256_ENABLE_FLAG [0]

if so, I would assume that my phone is unlocked woot
don't think you can confirm this way..

need to use SIM from another carrier to confirm this - read thread

I don't have another SIM to test right now, but before I started, my setting was SHA256_ENABLE_FLAG [1] and after following the steps it is:
SHA256_ENABLE_FLAG [0].

Thanks OP. Rep +4

So, given that Sprint GS3s aren't gsm, there's no reason for Sprint customers to bother?

now that we are at it, for the brave and tzone folks

you can try to go under common and nv rebuilt then erase three partitions

reboot and your phone should work on tzone again
