we bought them the last time they were 10.00. they opened up 2 of them and they were difficult and frustrating to use. was a 9 yo and a 13 year old who were using them. they didnt care for them. thnk all the pieces got put in a box and not sure if they will get used again.

These aren't junk, I've had one for a year that me and my little 4 year old nephew use all the time. Very fun.

went to amazon to look at the reviews.. half the people had issues like we did.. other half loved the product. just giving an opinion from personal experience.

These are $10 at my local Walmart in store as of this morning. That's the price on the shelf. We have this one too and it's not our favorite.

The other kind with round (green) discs are really great, my kids just love those. We tried these and kids did not like much.

I'll chime in here too. We have an arsenal of Nerf guns-it's kind of "our thing". These are definitely only used when my kids have lots of friends over and need to use all of them. An okish deal at $10, but there are definitely much better Nerf products out there!

We bought these last year as well. The reason to buy these guns is if you like having lots of "accessories". They have removable stock, removable barrel, site, etc.. However, the barrel's only purpose is to look cool. It actually decreases range and accuracy. The stock is a little flimsy compared to some other more expensive guns, but they haven't broken in the year we've had them. These guns don't shoot as far or reliably as the new elite series. But the elite series isn't this cheap either. All the accessories are interchangeable with many other n-strike guns, so buying this will allow your kids to have accessories for other n-strike guns you get in the future. My kids are young enough that they don't care about the accuracy, they think it's cool to build out their guns and this fits that bill well.
