Got 1. Thanks. Had a worry. the 5" says voice navigation, I hope this 4.3 has voice navigation i.e. It talks out the street names. Without that, I'd have to return it.

How is it compared to 50lm from costco? I could use 25 off 100 amex sync deal and got it with 75.

I don't know how people still can buy Garmin. I have impression it always picks the route with maximum number of traffic lights. Using 'Fastest time' it actually took me off highway, sent through city downtown to save a mile of highway. Love Magellan's 'Most use of freeways' program.

In this day and age of smartphones that have dedicated GPS apps, I'm surprised people still buy standalone GPSs

I don't have unlimited data and I don't have enough time/foresight to save the maps for every place I want to go before I leave my wi-fi area--that's why I still want a dedicated GPS and I'm sure it's the same for other people. Plus, not all smartphones are created equal and GPS navigation tends to not work so well on the lower end of the spectrum. |

Both the tomtom and navigon apps on my iphone don't require data or wifi and I always get a GPS lock when I'm outside
