I have Iphone 5. Is there any reason to get this?

actually I am wondering if any decent tablet can be used as GPS. I know all android tablet can do, but looking for something under $100

I have an iphone 5 and unlimited data but I don't like wasting my phone battery for my trips and the phone screen is smaller and lacking some quick visual features that a normal gps offers. Sure, I could plug the phone up, but it's just easier to buy this IMO. I only use the phone if I don't have my gps.

I had a garmin from 6 years ago and the old maps were getting annoying so I bought this instead. Works fine. I've bought refurbished nooks in the past that worked fine so I gave this a try. A+ so far.

I just got a Garmin nüvi 2360LMT 4.3-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator with Lifetime Traffic & Maps, Manufacturer Refurb, for $89.99 from Amazon (Warehouse Dealz)a few minutes ago for my son. I had just missed this Garmin 1390LMT for $69.98 and thought that this was a good deal.

I had trouble updating the maps. The maps for USA and Canada would update only if I insert a micro SD card. The total size of maps was 1.6 GB and I had to put a Micro SD and it installed the entire maps to the SD card. So if anything happens to that SD card, the maps would be gone
