Kershaw Knife Deals - Echelon and Composite Blade Leek - Amazon - $44 + FS
Couple of decent knife deals on Amazon right now, courtesy of an ongoing $10 off $50 coupon (automatically applied when you go to check out). These are sold and shipped by Amazon, so they're eligible for FSSS or Prime. Free one-day shipping w/ Discover card (select one-day shipping, and apply promotional code DSCVRHSP at checkout).
Both these knives carry a lifetime manufacturer warranty and are made in the USA.
Kershaw Composite Blade Leek [amazon.com]: $54.06 - $10 = $44.06
About 50 cents more than it was at the beginning of November, but still a great price. The composite blade version features CPM-D2 tool steel for the cutting edge -- a tough, semi-stainless steel with very high resistance to wear (meaning it'll stay sharp longer). Kershaw Echelon [amazon.com]: $54.42 - $10 - $44.42
Price has been consistently between $58-62 since the knife came out in July 2011. The Echelon is a rather unique design and uses natural G10 (not dyed) on its handle scales. These semi-translucent scales let you see a little into the inner workings of the SpeedSafe assisted-opening mechanism. (link to description on manufacturer's site) [kaiusaltd.com]
