On 2nd thought I just noticed the deal at Frys yesterday for $429

The main difference between this one and that is: Full 1920x1080 resolution Wifi is built in to this unit, not an add-on Web Browser and apps on this unit In retrospect I might not need these for a $569($369 after GC) premium and Super Bowl is soon might just hold out until then. |

Well I must say this is a first, did you thumbs down your own thread ? LOL. Anyhow you can't compare the Fry's deal to this TV at all. This is one of Samsung's top of the line Plasma's, compared to a low end Samsung 720p Plasma. The deal you posted is actually a pretty nice deal with the $200 GC.

Purchased, looks like a top of the line TV and $200 Amazon GC is as good as cash.

shit, bought the costco Panasonic TC-P50U50, but for $300 i wouldn't mind getting this.... the $200 GC to amazon is essentially cash since we get so much stuff from them...
"Smoked" by windows phone 2012, might be my best SD yet if i could actually get the phone.

Dang , thats a good deal making the E7000 a mear $800 end price . I may consider this and selll my LG plasma . Even though I like my LG , I have a soft spot and extreme liking for Samsung plasma's ( from past experience) .

I initially jumped on this. However, after doing more research, for our needs, I think the 8000 series is the better buy. Its $200 more, but you get better picture with their new dimming technology, built in HD camera (for skype), Amazon streaming app (missing in some 2011 models) and the ability to control the TV with hand gestures. Not bad for $200, and it still comes with the $200 amazon gift card. Nevertheless, thanks OP to alerting me to this. You motivated me to upgrade my TV (even if it wasn't quite the model you posted).

The PQ is ridiculously amazing from what I'm hearing. I havent read anything about the 24p playback though. Is it 4:4 or 3:3? Even though the amazon GC is as good as cash SO doesnt agree. Shes quite fond of the panasonic viera from costco for the price.

Great deal with the gift card. It's been at this price since about 11/21 (I've had it in my wish list since then), but the gift card makes this a great deal. Use the card for a 3D DVD and some extra 3D glasses.
