Sodastream Machine / Kit ~ Approx. $20 - 24 (or Less) ~ AR x 2, AC ~ Staples B&M
I have done this deal in the past, using several coupons and applying for the Sodastream $20 rebate. I am purchasing another this week. I hope some of you find this helpful.
Deal Logistics:
Buy $79.99 Sodastream [staples.com]@ your local Staples
79.99 - $16 (20% coupon) - $20 Staples Gift Card Rebate - $20 Sodastream rebate = Effective price $24 (not including your specific tax and any rewards coupons you may use).
*** if you find a $20 off 75 break rooms supplies coupon IN-Store (look/ask for a "breakroom" catalog in the store, which has this coupon on the front/back side), use that instead of 20% off and your final price is $20.
OTHER COUPONS SCENARIOS:
1. only 1 coupon: $20 off $75 breakroom supplies coupon (found in catalogs, in-store)
"Or Less" (untested and possibly not applicable)
the "Or Less" in the title comes from possibly being able to use other coupons or Staples Rewards....such as a $20 off your in-store Breakroom Supplies coupon (need to have received one or find one online). For those who know, MOST OF THE TIME, a $$ off combines with a % off. So, 20% off from above should/may combine with a $20 off if you have or acquire one. - net cost = $4 if this works (someone needs to try and confirm).
Comments on a similar, previous deal:
(have to disclose this as possible YMMV, due to fine print of Sodastream rebate stating can't be combined with other discounts/rebates - however, I and MANY others have done this rebate using multiple coupons/discounts on the receipt, and still received the rebate, with submitting original UPC. Sodastream has no way of knowing if you submitted an EASY rebate which doesn't require the UPC)
To address "Flecko"'s comment: I called and asked the rebate center what this "other discounts / rebates" means. They said this can't be combined with any other SODASTREAM discounts or SODASTREAM rebates. Problem solved.
ADDRESSING VARIOUS COMMENTS IN THE POST:
Buying this may be a good idea for several reasons (in my opinion):
Deal Logistics:
Buy $79.99 Sodastream [staples.com]@ your local Staples
- Use this 20% off Breakroom supplies coupon [shoplocal.com] = $16 discount
- Submit $20 Easy Rebate [stapleseasyrebates.com]
- Submit $20 Sodastream Rebate (rebate has worked before and will work again, even with using coupons - worked for me and many others in the recent past).
- final price after rebates = $20
- final price after rebates = $12 (BEST DEAL)
- final price after rebates = $24 (as outlined above)
"Or Less" (untested and possibly not applicable)

- Tip: To increase your chances for using this....If you have/get this coupon and IF you buy the Staples warranty, a manager may be more likely to override the use of this coupon WITH the 20% coupon.
- Use a $10 off $75 "App" coupon (search SD for Staples App) to find out how to get this coupon

Buying this may be a good idea for several reasons (in my opinion):
- Healthier than other soda options (regular flavors have no high-fructose corny syrup)
- You can control how much syrup you put in (the lighter the better - i just want a little flavor)
- There are "flavor essence bottles" that give you a nice light taste/flavor without needing syrup
- If you have a party or a large family, you can have many soda flavors depending on individual taste, without having to keep a ton of soda cans of diff. flavors around.
- Better for environment than buying cans/bottles, unless you buy them on sale and you also recycle those cans/bottles (if you are "green" person, which you should be)
- You can "MOD" the machine to take higher capacity and cheaper CO2 tanks
- You can use Italian/other syrup options to get even more flavor options
- Don't have to put your mouth on store-bought cans (don't know what they've been exposed to), which is a consideration for me.
