waveI have been noticing lots of folks like me, with hungry cats and ravenous dogs, asking for deals/coupons, etc. I thought it would be a good idea to consolidate these deals into one area to make things easier for those of use who constantly need to save on these things!!Big Grin

I will start things off with:

Purina Beneful 7oz (trial size) bags at SWM--$1, there is a $1.50MQ out there, but the specifics elude me, I used all I had on Friday.......MM on dry dog food!!

Free Sheba 3oz cans of cat food---peelies found on Sheba or Temptations cat treats at WM. There are small bags of Temptations regular price .94, I found them on clearance for .50, so not only did I get cheap treats for the babies, but also free Sheba. Just a heads up, though, they have a pate and cuts. My felines won't eat the pate, but the dog loved it!!

Not a B&M store, but here is free Science Diet [facebook.com] hairball formula 3.5lb bag

Also found at SWM, found in 1 store out of 5!!! Tidy Cats Clumping litter--Active formula 20lb jug, $6.97 with a $1.50 peelie specifically for this formula. Nice scent, fairly good price..........

Has anyone noticed the cat scratcher poles that are carried at WM/Target are no longer jute rope? Some type of SeaWeed something or other--enough to jack the price from $14.97 to $19.97, or they have one with soft plastic fingers on it, along with the rope---for grooming--enough to ask $24.97!!!

Anyway, if the mods think this thread is a waste or in the wrong place, feel free to delete, move or ..............Wink

As for the wiki, since B&M deals change so quickly, I'd like to keep it to special offers from manufacturers and such--free samples, coupons etc., and if you notice one is expired or over, please remove it............Thanks, I hope we can keep this running and all score some deals!!!

I think there's a catalina deal on Purina starting at Kroger next week, perhaps for 2 weeks so probably a pretty good chance. Meijer's has the best and most consistent deals on Purina products, imo. Generally all Purina is included and many times they have great sale prices to go with the catalina deal or instant savings.

Not deals related, but can I ask a cat grooming question, since there seem to be lots of cat folks here? Smilie

My nearest Kroger is 3 hours roundtrip, but I read it in the Kroger thread here on SD. I think there are different regions also, but you might also check couponnetwork.com for different catalina cat deals. Smilie I don't want to give you misinformation. I read it briefly, even though my nearest store isn't all that near.

I think we can discuss cat grooming or other cat/dog/animal questions here and mix it with the deals.

This is from the Kroger thread;

Purina Pet Products 1/13/13 - 1/26/13

Spend $30-$39.99 and get $5 oyno
Spend $40 OR MORE and get $10 oyno

Thanks Smilie

We have two cats - one is short-haired and sweet Smilie and then we have this guy - he's medium-haired, and his hair mats like crazy. Like seriosuly huge to-the-skin can't-get-a-comb-thru mats. And if we try to brush him to keep them from getting bad, he tries to kill us nod Is there anything that can help keep cat-mats from being terrible so we don't lose skin trying to help him stay groomed?? Any ideas welcome - he's a good guy, except when we try to brush/trim/furminate/or otherwise get that coat in control Smilie

Endorse

I just downloaded the Endorse app( similiar to Ibotta) and there was a 10% back offer on any brand Pet Food. They do factor in coupons- their app says "rewards are calculated on your pre-tax, out of pocket price".

I've never been known to turn down free money! I got my reward in less than 24hrs on my Target purchase from several days ago. HTHS!

Help Wondering if anyone knows of any good deals on puppy pee pads? My darn min pin can't hold it for very long, and as long as there's a puppy pad around my furniture/carpet/toddler/crappola is safe Smilie. Just wondering if there are any store deals to be had, or if it would be a better bet to look online.

I don't think I have any coupons for these, not sure if there's even any out, to be honest. I have Target, Walmart (if I have to), Sam's Club, and Petsmart (with a Pet Perks card) that I usually shop at. I also have all the drugstores around me, though I seldom venture in there. And, I can get my in-laws to take me to the commissary if needed as well.

Thanks so much for your help! I appreciate it worship
Hi guys,
tsarina needs some help on puppy pee pads --- she posted on the I'm looking for a deal thread but I figured the wee pad experts were on this thread.

Already mentioned Hartz pads at CVS & WAGs and PetShoppe pads at WAGs and Arm & Hammer pads at Target with current MQ IPs

Any other ideas?

I used to buy a lot of these for my rabbit when his cage was located in a different room so when we let him out he couldn't go back to his cage for bathroom.

Anyway, we used to get them from Big Lots - pack of 40 or 50 for $10 and we'd wait till the 20% off coupon comes out and it'd be $8. Dollar Tree has pack of 4 for a $1 if you can't wait till 20% off at Big Lots.

First- go to vet/groomer and have mats taken off (not cheap, but easier on owners AND cat). Then, get a metal comb (pet stores have ones called "greyhound" combs). Try combing, then give a treat. Comb, treat, comb, treat. Don't try to tackle the whole cat at once, try one section at a time.
Be VERY careful cutting off mats at home, the skin can be cut very easily.

Well I am far from a vet/groomer, nor have I ever had this problem, but from watching tons of Animal Planet here's my advice. When the mats are there, it is very painful to them anytime you touch them. Usually the first thing they do is shave the cat and let in a new coat grow in. Here's my advice, as it is coming in, pretty much from the day it is shaved. Pet the kitty, get him relaxed and just get him used to you brushing him at least once a day. He will get used to you doing this form the start and won't hurt anymore either. Also, from my experience here... I used to work in a Vitamin store. There is an oil called flaxseed oil. This is wonderful for thier coat, dogs & cats. Also raw eggs. We used to give our dog a raw egg every day and Flaxseed oil and it helped make his coat shiny and healthy. He loved the taste of it by the way. Hopefully your kitty does too Smilie
