Thread Details

waveI have been noticing lots of folks like me, with hungry cats and ravenous dogs, asking for deals/coupons, etc. I thought it would be a good idea to consolidate these deals into one area to make things easier for those of use who constantly need to save on these things!!Big Grin

I will start things off with:

Purina Beneful 7oz (trial size) bags at SWM--$1, there is a $1.50MQ out there, but the specifics elude me, I used all I had on Friday.......MM on dry dog food!!

Free Sheba 3oz cans of cat food---peelies found on Sheba or Temptations cat treats at WM. There are small bags of Temptations regular price .94, I found them on clearance for .50, so not only did I get cheap treats for the babies, but also free Sheba. Just a heads up, though, they have a pate and cuts. My felines won't eat the pate, but the dog loved it!!

Not a B&M store, but here is free Science Diet [facebook.com] hairball formula 3.5lb bag

Also found at SWM, found in 1 store out of 5!!! Tidy Cats Clumping litter--Active formula 20lb jug, $6.97 with a $1.50 peelie specifically for this formula. Nice scent, fairly good price..........

Has anyone noticed the cat scratcher poles that are carried at WM/Target are no longer jute rope? Some type of SeaWeed something or other--enough to jack the price from $14.97 to $19.97, or they have one with soft plastic fingers on it, along with the rope---for grooming--enough to ask $24.97!!!

Anyway, if the mods think this thread is a waste or in the wrong place, feel free to delete, move or ..............Wink

As for the wiki, since B&M deals change so quickly, I'd like to keep it to special offers from manufacturers and such--free samples, coupons etc., and if you notice one is expired or over, please remove it............Thanks, I hope we can keep this running and all score some deals!!!

YW!!
Really, I have done 4 transactions this weekend!!
Have had a TON of fun at PM lately!
They won't get rid of me until the holiday bucks stop to roll or I run out of good Qs!
I have been trading like a mad woman lately, so I will be rolling rolling rolling!!
I've been trading also, but I had to fill up the car with stuff at Meijer's over the weekend and was in the land of no PetSmart's. Glad to know that I didn't miss out with the 15%. My good stores will take expireds anyway, but I don't need my mq's reduced. I've been pleased with all the free/cheap cat food the past couple of months. It seems there are spells of no good sales and now we've been fortunate to have several at the same time at 2 different stores. Whee

I should have said no pet store shopping. I filled the trunk and the back seat with food, carriers, etc....... I went to one PetCo, but they had difficulty with the coupons scanning and all sorts of register weirdness. I thought I was in Wags for a minute. Coupons scanned expired in 1947. LMAO They made it work in the end, but it was a mess.

I've had WBCL coupon say expired in the 40's before. The PetCo registers seem a bit different from any that I've known. They scan everything and then they scan the mq and the corresponding item again and they have the smallest little counters. They entire system must have been designed by a man in a corner office that's never worked retail. To get around the '47 coupon they had to take the price directly off of an item, but then the $/$$ wouldn't scan. I really did think I was in a ds. I haven't shopped PetCo much, but when they give me free stuff I feel the need.

Counters are perfect height for a big dog to help herself to the open bowl of treats Big Grin

Retail, worse -- pet retail --- pets in strollers, pets in carriers, pets on leashes, pets carried in arms.

Actually, can't argue with the MQ attaching to the right item. I have problems with Purina MQs attaching to the wrong item before but never at Petco --- because at Petco a human being makes the decision not a POS.

Walmart, one bag of Purina cat food & one bag of Purina dog food. one MQ $3/1 bag of Purina dog OR cat food, one MQ $3/1 bag of Purina dog food ---- & of course Walmart's POS attached the either or MQ to the dog food & kicked out the dog food coupon...

Petco isn't the cheapest place to shop but it one of the few places my dogs feel completely welcome in -- CVS, Target not so much...
& Petco employees seem much happier than Kmart or Walmart employees, even when their customers are relieving themselves in the corner...

Not to say people don't do that in the other stores! EEK! I used to work at a dept. store in high school and that's what people did in the changing rooms. Mad At least PetCo's main customers have a good excuse. Smilie

They choose the item with the coupon, but when it came up expired they had to manually reduce the price of the item and then it wouldn't take the $/$$. I don't know what they did in the end to make it work, but they had to start over 3 times.

It is harder than the Home Depot zombie game ( which took me 2 hours to get $30 ). Still you are guarenteed to get $5 if you have a Petco reward card ( have the number ready)

Now it's starting to sound like a transaction at Kmart! LMAO
But that would be a Kmart with someone at cs that knows what they are doing...Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Do you have to play certain minutes to get those rewards or reach certain score? My eye-hand coordination is not that great... Confused

I did not manage to check out with any points because i could not move/ find the cash register.

It only takes Less than 10 minutes. You automatically get the $5 bonus for attempting. But you do need to have a Facebook account & a petco awards account number.

Last time I played this those 5$ never came off for me.
Has anyone had any experience of using it after loading?
It says 7 days within playing, but I am heading to Petco now and I am planning my transactions carefully

First time I have every done this kind of game with Petco. I am inclined to wait for the email confirmation from Petco that the $5 reward is there or at least wait the 7 days.

That said, here is Petco's points redemption policy

http://www.petco.com/Content/PALS...tions.aspx

Reward Issuance and Redemption
Members spending at least $100 at any Petco store or on petco.com will receive 5 Pals Reward Dollars.
Pals Reward Dollars shall only be applied for purchases equal to or greater than $5.
Pals Reward Dollars cannot be redeemed in full or in part for cash or gift certificates.
Petco is not responsible for lost or stolen Pals Reward Dollars.
All Pals Reward Dollars expire within 45 days of issuance date.
Pals Reward Dollars can be redeemed in any Petco store location or on petco.com.
Qualifying Members will receive notification of earning Pals Reward Dollars via email within five business days of earning them.

5 Pals Reward Dollars will be applied to all purchases prior to any other coupons at point of sale.

Reward Dollars notification will be sent via email and Pals Reward Dollars will be displayed in the Member's account at petco.com and palsrewards.com.
Reward Dollars can only be applied to petco.com purchases using secure checkout with a petco.com registered account. Reward Dollars cannot be applied to other petco.com payment methods including guest checkout, Google, Amazon, and International Checkout.

I bolded the part about applying BEFORE other coupons. Petco's points system is too new for me --- haven't tested all the possible variations in transactions.

Way, way off topic, but I don't mind if you guys want to do a little braggin' on your furbabies, I'll be the first to deflower the thread with a couple of pics!!

here are the details:

1) Fat Sissy--fat and sassy!!
2) Rocket J. Raccoon--not a house baby but rather a poacher in the barn!!
3) Butterball is the mama, Jenny is striped brown tabby, Forrest is black one. Butterball was eaten outside by a nasty bobcat that was around for about 2 weeks--devoured several cats. Jenny got hit on the road, Forrest is full-time house cat now...........
4)Gary was my grandpa kitty, he was 18, went to heaven 2 weeks ago Frown
5) Luke is DS 19's kitty
6) Smokey was rescued from a fire about 5 years ago, was only 2 weeks old, had smoke inhalation and I had to give her CPR, then nursed her with a bottle (every freakin' hour for 3 weeks!!!) Dressed her burns twice a day for a month til healed--then she became DH's kitty. She was attacked by that damn bobcat and killed.
7) Boots--dumped at our house about 8 years ago in October--poor thing puked bugs for 3 days when I found her. She'd been living on her own, eating bugs for survival. I cried for days over what she had lived through!!!
8) Miss Kitty--rescued 2 years ago, sweetheart!! Only loves mama!!
9) Mouse--rescued 3 years ago, lost an eye, but is still mommy's little mousey-boy Smilie
