I seriously doubt it. If your mortgage is with Chase they have [a program](https://www.chase.com/chf/mortgag...-cash-back) where you might be able to get 1% cash back (it doesn't involve CC spending though).

Only government can pay it's debts with debt.

There was a thread awhile ago maybe in Finance about drawing against a Discover line to cash in another account but I don't remember the net figures or the rest of the details.

yes, http://www.chargesmart.com/ however they charge a certain percentage per payment. It's definitely not worth it in the long run however if you need it for the short term it may come in handy. It also appears to be limited to a certain number of banks too so if you mortgage is owned by a local credit union then you may not be able to use it (unless it is underwritten by a major bank).

No. At least not any way that's a net benefit. There are bill pay services, but they charge more in fees than you'd get in cash back.

American Express used to have a deal where if you had a mortgage and CC with them, you could pay the mortgage with the CC, but that's a very specific case.

You could use a payment-type service to pay yourself, then use that $$ to pay for the mortgage, but if you could essentially charge to yourself without fees, what's the difference what you use the $$ for? That said, Amazon Payments could/can do this, with limits. If you have a Discover CC they have a paypal arrangement where you can send $$ for free (no fees) but that's limited as well; I believe it's YMMV but for me it was $500/mo/account. Yes you do get cash back on it.

Let's say your mortgage is $2000. According to the site you linked, you'd have to buy 4 of these cards @ $500/ea which also carry a $4 activation fee, or $16. You net (assuming 1% CB from the CC), $20-$16 = $4. (It's really $3.95 and it's a RELOAD fee, so the first go around you'd need to buy 4 (or buy 1 and reload twice @ $4/ea), thereafter you'd need to reload twice).

So the absolute best you'd make out is 2x$3.95 (2 reloads per month given their $1k/day limit). A whopping $12 a month in points (assuming 1 point = $0.01).

Then you have intangibles to deal with - this is a billpay service so what happens if they neglect to send out a check on time? What if the transactions get boggled somehow, and you have $2k floating around?

Right... these are more for people who value points more than 1 cpm or who have cards that have bonuses at drugstores (Hilton Surpass). If we're talking straight cashback, it's terrible.

I'm part of the frequent flyer crew who make Chase UR points and AmEx MR points easily worth more than $0.01 so this is perfect for me.

To note, monthly load limit is $5k per month, $1k per day. I think the "absolute best" part of your post is a little confusing (at least to me)

absolute best = lowest monthly fees

with those cards, you need to minimize reloads (and purchases), but unfortunately they limit reloads to $1k. IF you have a $2k mortgage, that's 2 reloads = $8. A dollar more and that's another reload (you could manage this by floating $$ on the card over the course of a year though and amortize the reload fee for the whole year; then we're talking about opportunity cost of the float, etc etc)
