I have another version of the Jabra bt system, and was so impressed by it's quality I bought additional units for my parents and sister. Problem is while I have a habit of turning it on/off, they don't and hence rarely use it. |

I've only installed about 6 car stereos but not once did I have to "hack" or cut anything. Most of the time it's just a plastic cover that clips into place and gives you an extra storage slot. I stated this items benefits in my post. I don't feel like this is a "car speakerphone system". It has nothing to do with the car other than it has a clip on the back. You can clip it to your shirt, to a visor etc. It has a nice standby time (2-3 months). There are regular bluetooth speakers that do the same thing with better sound. There are also dozens of others that do the same thing for half the price: http://www.cellphoneshop.net/slsi...4AodUi0AFw Even best buy has the same price for similar things: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Rocke...OgodCB0A2A Ebay BRAND new Motorola is standard price: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Motor...%26ps%3D54 I'm really not threadcrapping - or at least I don't mean to. I don't want someone else reading it like I did and order it thinking it will mute their car radio or anything. SLICKDEALS TO DATE:
Too many to name! |

Here is a much better solution in my opinion: http://www.amazon.com/BlackBerry-...rds=vm-605 The blackberry uses FM to run the sound through your car. So if you want to play pandora, MP3, iheartradio whatever on your phone and run google navigation at the same time it will all work. You can play music, run the nav and it will mute the music while the nav tells you where to go , then go back to the music automatically. If a call comes in, it will mute both of them and go to the phone call. That is more along the lines of what I was expecting when I saw "car system". If the Jabra included (or includes) these features then I'm sorry for not reading it better. |

I went ahead and bought two of the jabra. I like the idea of having self contained speaker right on the visor. I'm wondering how well the mic would pickup with the gogroove. I don't stream music but want this more for speaker phone in the card hands free. My wife needs one in her car as well. Hopefully I'm not disappointed.
I don't like the fm modualtor stuff because on trips between the major cities the stations change so much its a pain to find good ones to stream on. That last mentioned blackberry option seemed pretty much but wondering if it would work with my android S3 .

I'm having a hard time choosing between this and the Gogroove. The Gogroove seems to have better reviews, but it would seem like the self contained speaker of the Jabra would better than the fm modulator of the groove. Jabra has voice commands to receive and end calls, but can't tell if the Gogroove is truly hands free.

Seems to have just as good of reviews on amazon and is smaller. I don't know if it's an "updated" version though or which one would be better between the two. |
