B2G1 Kre-O Transformers Mini-Figures @ Walgreens

Seriously guys, I'm a DS forum person too, but not everyone uses coupons or knows where/how to get them.

I don't think it's fair to jump all over okinawanmatt just because he didn't understand our coupon lingo. If you talked to your non-couponing friends/family in this jargon, would THEY know what SS, RP, IP, B2G1, etc. mean? Probably not. Heck, my grandma is/was a couponer and had no idea what BOGO meant.

You know how a lot of "us couponers" don't venture into other areas of SD very much? Well, there are people on SD who don't venture into the DS forum very much either.

I found nothing in okinanawanmatt's post to substantiate all the hostility towards him.

I did find the OP understandable and informative , but I also recognize not everyone in this world, on the internet or even on SD uses coupons.

With that being said, thank you DezaRay, I'm going to my local Wags later with my Free kre-o coupons from my local SS to see if I too can get 3 free using the B2G1 + Free coupon dealio ;-)

Picked up 3 of them at WAGs this morning. Good sized WAGs in a relatively non-couponing area but stock was about a dozen of those toys.

If you are going to do this deal at WAGs, I suggest going sooner than later. Regardless, the MQ does not expire until 1/31/13 so plenty of time to find a deal somewhere.

No problems at register, MQ auto'd for $2.99 not $3.49 coupon max.

BTW, there are two versions of the MQ --- the Spanish language papers have a version with the bold, large font parts of the Q in Spanish, actual barcode# is different between the two MQs.

My Wags was out so TRU was better for me since the Q's auto deducts at my TRU $3.49 ...TRU was$2.99 plus the second one qulified for some other promo at $2.. so I bought 6 plus a different little toy ($3.99) DS wanted anyway. so I got $22.20 plus tax for just the tax....nice deal for me. The person could've said, "I don't know what coupons you mean, please clarify". And that would've been done. Creating an ongoing debate, and snarking just for the sake of snarking, is neither useful nor informative. Nor is it really even that interesting to read. Unfortunately, that seems to be the standard mode of operation on HD.

Yes, I knew exactly what the OP meant, and Yes, the OP could've been clearer, especially for posting it in hot deals. But can't we figure out a nice way to ask each other for info?

I ordered 20 of these coupons from ebay this morning. If my Walgreen stores sell out I will for sure be requesting Rainchecks!!!

I said pretty much the same thing this morning and yet my post was deleted...

I got 18 transformers today. I put 9 in the donation box and will give away the other 9 at my yard sale. I have more coupons so I'll probably get more but before I do is this something that kids will want?

However, the toys rang up for $2.9 each.She then scanned the coupon and it automatically took off $1.99 each, not $2.99.
I left everything, as I didn't know what to do.
Please help and let me know how to take advantage of this deal.

Also, there was also a $5.00 coupon for something other toy by this brand.I don't think that they sell it there though.

first pick 3 of them and come to the register let her scan your walgreens card ,that will take 1 price off and then give her the coupon and your total will come $2.99 for 3 of them...and then tax ofcoarse

Let cashier know it didn't take the full value and they will key it in manually.

I tried that.I gave her 3 of them, then when she scanned the coupon it come off automatically $1.99.It wouldn't allow her to key the price in.
Usually, they can put the price in, but in this case, it scanned for a price of $1.99.
The manager helped me and said that she can't put it in manually.

Interesting. it has been reported on other threads that for BOGO type deals with a coupon, sometimes the register is trying to do some kind of "average" when crediting a Free coupon. $5.98 / 3 = 1.99. That would certainly put a damper on the usefulness of this deal vis-a-vis being a $75 filler item. If you just wanted the toys, though, just hand over a pile of toys and a pile of coupons and no card, and disregard their "special offer".

Give this to a kid that has had/played with brand-name Transformer toys and they will probably use them to play fetch with the dog. Give them to a kid that has very little in the way of toys and they might be thrilled.
