For this HR monitoring, do you just wear the watch or is there a wristband you have to wear also? i.e. is the HRM built into the watch?

You have to wear a chest band that tracks your heart rate which will then appear on the watch.

heart rate monitor will go slightly below your chest around your body. garmin doesnt make a wrist heart rate watch/majiggy that ive ever seen.

Not trying to thread-crap, I just bought Garmin Forerunner 410 from Costco. They have it for $159.99 + tax but if we can combine AMEX $25 of $100 Costco online deal, it comes to $145 shipped for me (FL). 410 is a better product with great reviews.
