I just received my order - they shipped me the 350 - currently on the phone with a CSR who knows absolutely nothing. This is a huge pain - they're saying I ordered teh 350 - they don't see the 500 in their notes even though on my confirmation it says Slingbox 500.

Emailed Kmart customer service earlier today and received this response:
Good Morning Stephen, Thank you for contacting Kmart.com regarding the order number xxxxxxx. I am sorry for the confusion regarding the order. Please be advised that, you have placed an order for 2 sling media slingbox 500. Please let us know if we are of any further assistance. We want to make you happy. Please take our survey to tell us how we're doing. Sincerely, Elizabeth xxxxxxx Kmart Customer Care help@customerservice.kmart.com 1-800-xxx-xxxx I guess I will have to wait and see what I receive. |

I received this email although I only found it yesterday as it was in my Spam folder - my order was not canceled as I mentioned before - I received the 350. So I am shipping back the 350s and waiting to hear on how I can reorder the correct 500 for the same price.

order confirmation --> that letter you have posted --> cancellation email --> cancellation phone call We don't really know if Sears will still offer the item to us again at that same price if they are sending out cancellation emails and if they are doing bait and switch. AFTER that email instead of before, plus the phone call seems to kill the deal. As far as my Kmart order I again chatted with Kmart online CSR today who kept assuring me that they show the order is placed for 500, I questioned him again and again as to why my order status says Slingbox 350, he told me he's emailing me an updated order status when all he did was email me a copy of my original order confirmation which ofc shows the 500. He kept trying to reassure me that I would be sent the correct item and to wait until I receive the item. I told him that is not an order status and that I would like my order status changed to reflect the correct item so that I will receive the correct item.. And that if he could not do so to direct me to a supervisor that could and I kept asking him if anyone was going to update the order status. Finally I was told he "will forward the issue to the offline team and your order status will be updated with in 24 to 48 hours" (screenshots of this chat convo and the one that occurred 2 days ago were made with the date pop up from my PC as Kmart does not show date/time in their chat convos). Wonder if he meant the "online" team instead of "offline" team. lol. I've visited Kmart's FB for the first time as fellow SDers have taken up the cause there. Lots of other unhappy Kmart customers there with other issues... I am to misbehave. |

I've had very little luck figuring this whole thing out so far.
I've had two Kmart CSRs (one online, one on the phone) tell me that they see that I've ordered a 500, and they have no idea why my pending order history shows a 350. After I mentioned that some of you guys are actually receiving 350s, one CSR hung up on me, and the other gave me a number for a 'case manager', that just turned out to be Sears customer service number. Upon calling them, they of course, transferred me right back to Kmart's customer service, who then hung up on me for mentioning the word Slingbox. I was pretty polite through the whole thing, and not once did I feel like I gave them a reason to hang up on me. Also tried emailing the address that they seem to be giving out on facebook twice since I placed the order, and no response yet. |
