I left my dome light on one night, the wife had already left for work, no neighbors in site, then I remembered this guy!

I remember reading some posts here that some people found theirs was already pre-charged. mine still being in the box, I prayed it was pre-charged otherwise I would have been really late for work.

It was, boosted the battery and the car started without problem and off to work!

Too bad, too. I could have used a nice day off! ha ha

Picked this up from a previous slickdeal that had both the 600 and 900 on sale. Took it camping and charged 3 phones on it. For those saying the USB didn't work, did you find the switch (beside the lights) that turns the USB power on / off? Didn't get a chance to jump anything with it yet but I charged it for the recommended time and bungie it into the trunk. Rebate was ultra easy online and I didn't even use the right cash register number or anything, got a prepaid amex in a few weeks without any issues. When I picked it up from the store the guy said "What are you going to jumpstart with this thing, a boat?"

You could always swap the clamps over from the HF one to the Peak one.

Been wanting one and waiting for a good deal; wanted one for the lawn tractor which seems to regularly need jumps in colder weather; and nice to have as backup for one the the cars.

I've been looking at one of these for a while... though I've gotten rid of my odler cars that had more issues and replaced my batteries somewhat recently in my 07 and 08 cars. Do these things die after sitting unused for a year or more?

If you take car of it it will be fine. Just charge it every once and a while. My 400 amp is still going strong after 4 years and I use it as a battery on a V8 Mustang.
