I got this same G780 but with an i5-3210M for $463 from Lenovo's outlet a couple weeks ago.
For $800 I'd want stuff like backlit keyboard,1080p, and SSD. Great computer though, just not a slick deal IMO. |

The resolution is set at 900p, but with it's graphics card, couldn't you reasonably increase the resolution to an external monitor to 1080p? I was wondering this too for an intel hd4000. Could that be increased to 1080p on a 768p laptop connected to an external monitor?

Wait maybe a week or two for christmas. And then go for ideapad y500 15.6" with FHD 1080p and GT 650m Graphic at around the same price
