I've been on the lookout for AR-15 parts deals so I can build my first one. Is there an advantage to buying these two separate items in order to make a complete lower? Wouldn't it be cheaper AND easier to just buy this [joeboboutfitters.com] complete lower For $105, or is this an inferior lower? Thanks

Not sure how polymer lowers stack up against each other. I built on a AIM surplus Forged lower I picked up for around $50. (http://www.aimsurplus.
So personally, I wouldn't order the lower parts kit until you know what else you will be getting. |

I don't know why people bash polymer so much and have never even owned or shot one. The lower should be fine since it doesnt take any impact or pressure except for maybe the buffer tube. The fit is a little tighter feeling than my Spikes tactical lower, but that was expected. I have a DSA upper.
