Yes you can buy certain OM gift cards using rewards, but they "frown" upon it and you can't do pickup at store. I tried the store pickup, it didn't go through so I had to call to get my rewards re-credited. I got my rewards back, but they sent me an email saying if they see me buying GCs with rewards again, they'll terminate my account. Nice thing about this is if you buy OM GCs and then use them, the purchase counts towards your recycling credit.

I would call the threat for account termination more than "frowning" on it.

How long ago was that? I have some OM gcs that I got last year and the cashier said no go on buying gcs with om gcs. Wouldn't even try it........... said the register wouldn't take them. This was at a store that gave me no hassles in using rewards to buy gcs when it was allowed.

Worst case scenario wouldn't you be able to purchase an item and return for store credit and use that to get the GC if you wanted?

I am a little confused why you mentioned $20 increments while these are minimum $25 and the orange ones are $20 (although if you click the orange one from the link I posted above, I get an error reaching that page). If you'd rather PM me, that is fine.
