I was able to sign up for EPP using the membership program offered via my ADP login at work. In the upper right hand corner there is a graphic that changes and sometimes says "Holiday Savings" and the Lifecare name. Signed up for Lifecare from that link. Lifecare had access to Panasonic EPP as well as a free 1yr Shoprunner membership.

I don't know if this happened to anyone else but I checked this tv out at fry's couple weeks back when they had it on sale for $699 and I don't know if it hadn't been calibrated but it just looked awful, it was playing a basketball game and the video was extremely pixelated and just looked atrocious. So bad that I decided not to pick one up...

Question:
If I refuse delivery from the shipping carrier, will Panasonic fully refunded me ? I got one with "processing" in status, but I can save $50+ going with amazon when they get them back in stock. Panasonic customer service rep said I would get fully refunded but I am skeptical. |

Call 1. "Yes, we have the TV and gave the refund, it's Paypal's fault you didn't get the money." I called Paypal, it wasn't Paypal's fault, they had no sign of a refund Call 2. We haven't got the TV back yet. Call 3. It can take 2-4 weeks to process a refund. Call 4. It should be processed in 7-10 days. Call 5. We got the TV, you should have the refund either tonight or tomorrow. Call 6. I call today after no refund. The first guy says that don't have the TV back yet. BACK TO SQUARE 1!!!. I demand to talk to the person that told me I would have the refund today. I get somebody else, she says they found the TV, it's been sitting at the freight company's place the entire time but they only process refunds on Friday's. And guess what, I just missed the cutoff today so it won't be till NEXT Friday that I get the money back. And I would bet money that come next Friday, no money will be refunded and I will be calling again and be getting the f'ing runaround once again. NIGHTMARE. I'm about to go freaking nuts. I was shaking I was so pissed after the last call. Can it possibly be true that they only process refunds once a week on Friday's or are they BSing me once again? I'm tempted to call back and ask about this. I can't believe this is how Panasonic runs their business. I had heard bad stories but holy crap this is horrendous. Can you file a Paypal dispute with a refused delivery? I'm about to that point. I don't want to wait too long with their numerous BS excuses and then have no other means of getting the money back. [QUOTE=luflame555;55691412]I personally bought the 60U54 (same model but different part #) from Sam's Club less than a week ago for $799. You're paying tax either way, so I'd rather pay the extra $35 to get it local, the same day, and ensure that if you got a bad one, you can quickly exchange it.
If it was back at in the $6xx price range - sure, buy from EPP - but is $35 worth your sanity for having to wait to get it and not being able to swap out locally if yours arrives broken? P.S. - Best PQ (picture quality) HDTV I've owned hands down. (50" Magnavox DLP, 50" Samsung Plasma, 42" Panasonic Plasma, 50" LG Plasma, 55" LG LED, 32" No-name LED, 120" projector setup)[/QUOTE What about the membership fee? |
