Actually, if you can find it in stock, the laptop is still there for $399 (ad runs through Sat) and you can use the $100 off coupon (Fri/Sat only) that's been quoted elsewhere to bring it down to $299. APU (A6-4455M) should compare to the i5, and the Radeon 7500 graphics will run better than Intel HD on the i5 APU's |

I purchased this laptop for $325 plus tax. Its a dual core for sure, very light and thin. Battery power is yet to be tested.
The screen resolution/quality is not great out of the box, I have yet to make any adjustments. For my typical home use, such as bill payments, browsing, kids homework, budgeting etc, it is perfect. My desktop handles video editing etc etc. The windows experience score is just 4.4, primarily due to graphics, the highest score was 6.7 (and I don't remember what that was for). Anyhow, for $549 (msrp) it sure isn't worth it, but for $325, I'm not complaining. I've been looking for a while, and the best price I have seen on a 14" thin laptop was $369 for a i3 14-b015dx from best buy. Is the i3 worth paying 15 to 20% more for? For my use case i didn't think so. All of the laptops that I have seen under $300, were either heavy, bulky, had 2gb ram, 320 gb hdd, or 15.6" screen. All of these were deal breakers for me. Just received mine today. For those who purchased it, it is extremely tricky to recover the back plate. I hate to call to get the manual to attempt to remove it. Total you have to take out 9 black screws and 3 silver ones near the battery. 5 black screws are accessible from the back and the remaining 4 are hidden under the rubber feet. Once 12 screws are taken out you can upgrade the ram and HDD. There is only 1 slot for ram so you have to purchase a 8GB to take advantage of the max setting.
So far I am impressed with the size of the laptop. I know you can score a 15" - 15.6" laptop with better specs for the same price, but they are just to heavy IMO. The biggest I would go is 14" due to the weight. The battery life has been about 3 hours with surfing web and updating the OS. I would recommend to anybody looking for a slim notebook, but at the $325 price and not more than that. |

This is right now exactly $399.99 in store, and out of stock at most stores. And of course it's been gone from online for a while, does not even show up in the list anymore and it was removed from my cart. Last edited by pablocordoba; 12-06-2012 at 09:47 PM.. |

For the post above who got it for $325, your taxes must be higher because even though people complain about California Sales Tax, $199 comes to just over $317, so how did you get to $325? Last edited by Anthony Thomas; 12-07-2012 at 11:47 AM.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost Great SD Deals:
