There's definitely enough content in this game to justify $20. Sure, it's not D2, but running around killing things for hours on end working to (or through) inferno with a few different classes is pretty damn enjoyable. I don't think any publisher can beat Blizzard at releasing a well polished game.

I played D3 since day 1. Well polished it was not. Last edited by falleng0d; 12-04-2012 at 02:55 PM.. |

Having to make boxes not have a items in their loot table, or changing the behaviour of MF gear due to swapping, isn't polish related. Compared to other games that randomly crash/lag/have graphic/texture tearing, or otherwise strange behaviour, yes I call it polished. |

At $30 I'd say this game is worth buying at at about $20 it should be an easy decision. Yes, it's no Diablo II, but playing through Normal and Nightmare with a couple friends is fun enough to justify the purchase.

And honestly, of course in regards to a real job its not much money, but you have to remember, people are playing for a hobby and fun, so any profit made is making money having fun, thats just a bonus. Also, I dont think you grasp how much money some people have made in D3..... I know of many people personally who have made over $5,000 "playing" the game since release day.... Personally, I wasnt too much into the money side of things, so I missed my window to make much profit playing the game, but I still have made $300 or so. |

If this wasn't a rebate type of deal from a company where rebates aren't always trouble free, I'd say it's a good deal.
As for the game itself, how is it from the perspective of someone who simply wants to play it single player, once through... like, well, any regular game? A lot of the negative reviews seem to be from people who expect it to be a multi-player WOW type of game, lasting hundreds and hundreds of hours. I don't have that kind of time -- I'd just want to play it through the story once, and that's it. I did try the demo a while ago, and it seemed fun enough for what it is. The requirement to being online to play it was the biggest issue for me, as I had forgotten my battlenet acct. password. I also wonder if a single playthrough can result in the player getting anything worth selling in the AH too. Even if it's just $10-$20 worth of stuff, it can cut the price of the game in half. |
