The connection is independent from the device

If your FIOS box outputs HDMI, and your tv has HDMI inputs, then you're good to go!

Can somebody clarify what is the purpose of this box? I know it is kind of wireless hdmi but how does it work?

You have a transmitter box that sends a video & audio signal to a low profile receiver box. Think of it as a way of eliminating the wires from some of your devices to your television.


You could, as an example, have your desktop computer wirelessly bean video to your television that may be in another room (Plex anyone?) or you may simply want keep things clean and connect the receiver unit behind a LED television mounted on the wall and your Xbox box off to the side somewhere somewhat hidden. There are quite a few options with this kit.

I have an industrial need to transmit HDMI and VGA signal to a flat screen (Red Lion PTV). This should work great. Thanks OP. Repped.
