It also doesn't auto-renew (You should NEVER select auto-renew) and you have an option of bill me later.

You can get O mag for free thru Recyclebank , but you do have to gather points to get it which may take some time.

It is more expensive at Discountmags but you can almost always apply a 20% off code to reduce the price. Codes such as NICKELS, FRUGALGIRLS, DEALNEWS or SLICKDEALS usually work. So O mag would be $14.40 - but yes, $5 is still much better!

If you order the one year with no auto-renewal, and then order a second for same name/address, will it extend that same subscription? Basically 2 years for $10? Anybody know?

You can renew any subscription, even if it wasn't originally purchased from Amazon. Just make sure the name and address you enter match exactly the name and address on the mailing label for your magazine subscription. This will let the publisher know that this is a renewal order.

When you're placing your order, you'll see an estimated date when you'll receive your first issue. Don't worry--as long as you use the same name and address, the publisher will add the issues to your current subscription.

That "bill me later" option is good, fyi, to anyone ordering mags. That should allow you to pay by check when the bill comes, meaning they won't have your credit card info and can't automatically charge you for a renewal.

Yes, it will work, I've done it before with Amazon. I usually place one order and then wait a few days for it to process before I place the second order. Haven't had any problems.

The only magazine I have found worth reading on the Kindle is Nat. Geographic because they remove most of the ads and they add a lot of movies/extra content. I find the rest to be unreadable.
