I'm not sure if this was mentioned yet (but probably was, with a thread this big). My T cashiers each had a printout next to them to scan for another $10 giftcard (the fine print said it was for customer satisfaction, for those customers who spend more than $100 and expect/demand 2 $10 giftcards).
Quote from Jamesq View Post :
I mentioned this tonight to my cashier... to my surprise I was dealing with a manager who than started a search for this so called printout. After about 3 minutes I noticed the cashier walk across the store to the office and come back with the same print out. This is company wide. One coupon can be used for up to 4 $10 gift cards as per the printout and 4 coupon limit policy.

The printout says to give the customer the additional gift card(s) if the customer "demands" it.

The K-Mart deals a few years back were the best. I got a PS3 for $50 Smilie
I got a new riding mower and a new washer and dryer at Sears with Kmart GCs for about $50 oop. A guy I know had over $8K last time I saw him on Kmart GCs.

Buy $50 Target GC, get free $10 Target GC. Use $50 Target GC, buy $50 Amazon GC, get free $10 Target GC. Net result: $50 cash = $50 Amazon GC + free $20 Target GC.

If you really want to be a horrible human being about it, use the original $50 Target GC to purchase a new $50 Target GC and get a free $10 Target GC. Repeat ad nauseum, or as many times as your conscience / the cashier allows.
I thought Target updated their computer system this past year so that it prohibits using a gift card to buy a gift card.

Okays Thanks. The repetition seems a bit dubious to me, but I have some Christmas gifts I need to buy at Amazon, so saving $20 sounds good.

Thanks!

last year they didn't tie it to anything. It was a free for all with a YMMV per cashier. If I found a cashier with no line, i'd ask if she would do multiple transactions until someone came along. Some said yes, some said no. The ones that said yes would get me about 50 dollars then i'd move along as to not attract attention.

Argue that you can return everything and rebuy...which is completely allowable. I always say "I guess I can return everything and rebuy it and use this coupon...right? Let's save the time and trouble and just refund my money."
yes, you can return and rebuy except for a few items like food and lingerie where they dont allow returns. very few exceptions though.

target will always allow returns on food and technically they are not suppose to allow a return and rebuy. Your suppose to have to wait for it to be restocked to shelf etc.

Please don't ruin a good thing; Target has been very generous with these offers, follow the rules.
I agree with this. Why potentially ruin a good thing. Make use of it judiciously, not as a get-rich-quick scheme and we might see them bring it back year after year.

There should be an SD'r code-of-ethics :-)

Does not work this time around. First tried buying a $50 Target GC, no go. Then tried buying a $50 prepaid VISA card ($5 fee so would be $5 profit instead of $10) and also no go Frown
