If it comes with the factory warranty (2 yr) like what is from Black & Decker ebay store rather than 90 Days VMInnovations Warranty, I will be all over it.

Good price given the cost of the batteries alone, but...

I have one of these, and am consistently disappointed with the limited run-time that their 18V nicad batteries provide. Forget about using this on a large property where there's a lot of trimming to do. The cord spool also empties quickly, but I have gotten proficient at refilling it with cheap replacement cord.

Also the entry-level battery charger that accompanies the trimmer lacks the speed and smart-charging characteristics of their better, optional fast-chargers like the FSMVC.

I had one of the these with the two batteries and it did a good job of trimming my slightly larger than average back and front yards. Motor lasted about two years--I then moved up to the Lithium 36 volt Black & Decker model which also does a good job. These battery units are getting so good, that I've about decided to scrap my gas blower and go battery for that too. If I could afford a battery lawn mower, I'd get one of those too. I hate messing with gas/oil and really hate storing gas in the garage which is the only place I have to keep it.

At $45 this is a good deal even if you only get two years out of it. +1

I buy these just for the batteries....my original trimmer is still going strong after 9 years, but I've thrown away 2 batteries so far. I still have 6 between the trimmer and the blower.

I have a gas lawn mower that I've had for over 12 years. I have done NOTHING to it except add gas. For about 6 years I didn't even know it had a spark plug or oil in it until someone asked me how often I change them. It has no air filter either. It's a Yard Man Self Propelled Mower. I call it the magical mower.
