It's very nice. It fits perfectly on top of my 2 drawer filing cabinet with enough space against the wall for 2 stacks of diapers, his desitin, and A&D ointment. The baby really really likes how soft it is and since you asked, he farts very well on it, don't exactly know why that is, but I hold his feet and bounce him a little on it. When he cries and I don't know what's wrong, most of the time it's gas and he calms himself on the changing pad. I have a velvetty cover for it [amazon.com] as well as flannel pads that go over it. This one above was a huge MISTAKE to buy. It's completely stained right now. The ones with patterns are the best bet, especially the brown monkeys. Wasn't worth saving the extra dollar.


The changing pad comes with a buckle for the baby, I don't use it, but I can see it being useful as the baby gets older. I have joked with my hubby that the baby is sometimes so relaxed on his changing pad I just want to lift it up and stuff it in his crib. I have no complaints about it, excellent price, much better than the $25+ I've seen for changing pads in store. I haven't tested out the pad to see if it is waterproof or how well it take wipe out a stain, as the flannel pads keep it clean.

I've been using mine since the baby came home beginning of December, so almost 2 months now and the baby is not going to outgrow it anytime soon. I've found that I'm much more coordinated and change him quicker by always putting him down facing the same way.

Even though I use flannel pads, I still also recommend that velvetty cover, as it wicks moisture and keeps it in water bead form so you can easily dry and wipe it with paper towels or a cloth. The baby tends to pee in different directions and sometimes the pad doesn't quite catch it all
