It's a LED / Laser hybrid so unless they used a substantial amount in the last 2-3 years this projector came out then it should still have quite a lot of life in it

They do list the hours of use normally but that can't be seen with Deal of the Day. I'm going to go with a 6 and hope that has something to do with the hours, not just physical condition. I didn't look at the listings enough prior to this going live. Some had no hours, others had a few hundred. But even then there's a lot of life left. I can't imagine with these being demos/returns that they'd have much on them. People like to buy projectors, use them for a presentation and return them. Sad fact.

It's supposedly good for up to 20,000 hours and then the entire projector needs to be replaced or sent into Casio for repair. Casio does not sell the lamp for this device.

I don't see why not on movies or gaming. I have a friend who did this kind of setup, and this projector is HDMI and 1080p.

DLP lamps have a life in hours, whether it is a TV or whatever. I remember when our TV lamp died, cost a few hundred and man it was a bitch to swap out. That lasted a couple of years though, 10,000 hours.
