man i want this.
i was tempted by the 699 deal the other day but already have a better 18-55 (plus my old kit 18-55) and the 55-250. But this would do it. Do i have 900 to drop on a camera right now. Yes. Should I do it ... hmmmm i am just freakin indecisive |

So, I ordered the $649 B&H deal with the T3i + 18-55 + 55-250 + 70-300 non-IS.
I already have a 18-135 STM. And don't value the about the T3i vs T4i. Should I stick with what I have, or go with this and return the $649 deal? If I keep the $649 deal, I'd sell the 18-55 lens and the 70-300. That would put the cost at under $500 for a T3i and 55-250. If I do this deal, I'd sell the 18-135 STM (for $300??). So, I'd get T4i + 55-250 + 40 pancake for $700. Is this worth it if I don't shoot video and don't care about the T4i? |

this is better than the adorama deal, 970$ for t4i+18-135+55-250. this one costs 30$ more but you get a pancake 40mm.
going to return the adorama deal and get this one. any where printer, rebates, coupons anyone? saw the printer rebates, for pro-1. pro-10. pro-100, not the pro 9000. jump on printer rebate as well? |

after much endeavor i have the t4i and both lenses. 18-135mm is better overall for video in terms of smoothness. but it definitely is NOT the godsend of autofocus in dSLR. still has some pretty strange moments where its completely out of focus for like 5 seconds then slowly makes its way into focus. the 40mm pancake is louder and a bit slower/quirkier too.
ive had circa 1996 miniDV camcorders that focus better...... overall pretty disappointed. but at least i didnt pay much for all of this equipment.... |

If anything this is getting into portrait lens range so if you're talking which is more versatile.... It's an awesome lens so I don't get yer beef??? The only argument against this lens is the 50mm 1.8. -- Which is actually an argument for both.
