I do not use Skype, but any UVC supported webcam should work with the MK808. I just posted a link to the MK808 running Skype directly above you. NONE of this has anything to do with the U1A in this post, so why are you thread-crapping? ![]() Try the Logitech C170, C270, MS Lifecam, or any of the others mentioned to work with your model. Why am I having to do research for YOUR purchase?

As for the apps, if the TvBox apps are .apk files, you can sideload them and try 1 by 1 to see if they work or not. **On a sidenote, it is sort of lame to see people posting here about a completely different product, using a different CPU, running a different version of Android, made by a different company - and then Thumbing this down for, "Not a good product" because they don't know how to check to see if their webcam or favorite pig game work with a different device altogether. Sometimes, people just make no sense at all.

You have a purpose here, and I'm not playing along with you any more, Mr. Kelvin. I just can't be bothered to deal with your comments that are generally pointless and often misleading. See the post directly above for my final word on you. Welcome to ignore. |

my whole point is to warn people not to expect that they can do everything with this just because it has google play (market) installed. |

Also for those comparing to the MK808, this one has the slower AllWinner processor. I have the MK808, and it's still not too fast (works for my needs, but making it slower would probably start to bug me).
Another comparison to make to the MK808 is software support - the MK808 has a great custom ROM that fixes most of the bugs.. there will probably be one for this device, but I doubt there's anything decent yet. I'm not really sure why you would ever need it to be a flash drive.. if you have this, you probably also have a smartphone, which would be a flash drive with likely more space. Either way, I don't really see the need for a flash drive if your computer has an internet connection.. you can just use cloud storage (such as dropbox), and not worry about plugging anything in or moving anything around at all. You could just email whatever it is to yourself, and open it on the stick while it's running Android. If cost is your only concern, this is a decent choice. If you want something fast enough to comfortably run Android and have a fully-working wi-fi connection, I would honestly wait until the next one that comes out. All they need to do is take the MK808 and stop the wi-fi from dropping and it would be pretty much awesome. This one is slower, which means media will load slower and/or stutter, and Android will run pretty slow. Just my 2 cents. Edit: .

Soft power off, U-Disk function, external Microphone port, working PLEX (not sure if this is on the MX1 as well though), and possible CyanogenMod 9 on the U1A model would be the positives. Not sure if there are more / less - those are the ones that come to mind on first thought. |
